Starting January 2026, Banco de Portugal mandated that all insurance companies in Portugal disclose detailed climate risk assessments and adaptation strategies in their annual reports. This aligns with EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and aims to ensure insurers are prepared for climate-related financial risks.
